Kaʻu Learning Academy is a public charter school — free, open to all families in the district, and built around the idea that kids in grades 3 through 7 learn best when the pace and path are shaped around them. Enrollment opens each year, and getting started is straightforward.
What to Expect When You Apply
Because we are a public charter school, there are no tuition fees and no academic requirements to apply. Admission is open to any student residing within the Kaʻu complex area. When applications exceed available seats, a random lottery is held — every application has an equal chance.
- Complete the online or paper enrollment application during the open enrollment window.
- Submit proof of residency and your child's current immunization records.
- Attend a brief welcome orientation so your family gets a feel for our blended learning approach.
